Job summary

ARA's Engineering Science Division (ESD) is seeking qualified instructional systems designers to support training programs across government and commercial sectors. The ISD will translate complex source material into clear, engaging learning experiences using instructional design and multimedia learning principles.

The successful candidate will work with SMEs and production teams to create CBT, WBT, ILT, VILT, simulations, and job aids, manage review cycles, and ensure accessibility and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 2+ years of experience designing and developing training for adult learners or technical audiences.
• Experience developing CBT, WBT, ILT, VILT, eLearning, multimedia, or blended learning products.
• Proficiency with Adobe Captivate and Articulate 360 (Rise 360); knowledge of Vyond, Camtasia, PowerPoint is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Analyze source materials, learner needs, and SME input to identify gaps.
• Develop measurable learning objectives, strategies, assessments, and activities.
• Design and develop CBT, WBT, ILT, VILT, eLearning, and blended learning products.
• Create storyboards, scripts, knowledge checks, assessments, and facilitator guides.
• Collaborate with SMEs, graphic artists, videographers, software developers, and customers.
