Job summary

Montgomery College seeks a full-time Radiologic Technology faculty member beginning January 2027. The role involves classroom, lab, and clinical instruction across multiple campuses, with online and hybrid options.

The successful candidate will contribute to accreditation efforts and student success in a diverse, multicultural environment. Responsibilities include teaching a range of didactic, laboratory, and clinical courses, participating in curriculum development, and serving on committees

Qualifications

  • ARRT certification in good standing required.
  • Maryland Radiographer License in good standing or eligibility to obtain.
  • Two years of clinical radiology experience.
  • Commitment to inclusive and equitable teaching practices.

Responsibilities

  • Teach didactic, laboratory and clinical courses in Radiologic Technology.
  • Coordinate program assessment, curriculum design, and outcomes evaluation.
  • Utilize instructional technology and LMS in delivery.
  • Engage in accreditation activities and committee work.
  • Travel to clinical sites and support clinical coordinators.

Job Description

Montgomery College is seeking an outstanding f ull-timeRadiologic Technology faculty member to fill a positionbeginning January 2027. We are seeking an enthusiastic anddedicated teacher who exhibits a high degree of professionalism, astrong commitment to our students, and the ability to motivate andeducate in an engaging manner. The Radiologic Technology program isfully accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education inRadiologic Technology (JRCERT). This position is part of acollective bargaining unit.

The successful candidate will appreciate teaching in amulti-cultural environment and will welcome the opportunity to workwith students with diverse learning abilities. Faculty dutiesinclude classroom, laboratory and clinical instruction, assessment,curriculum development, advising, professional inquiry, committeework, and utilizing instructional technology. Outstandingcandidates with a passion for teaching are particularly encouragedto apply to join the dedicated faculty of the Montgomery CollegeAllied Health Sciences Department.

Teaching assignments may include various delivery modes, such asface-to-face, on-line, hybrid, and/or blended formats during days,evenings, and weekends. Montgomery College has multiple campuses,and faculty may be assigned to teach in-person at any of thesecampuses and teach online.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Teach a variety of didactic, laboratory, and clinical courseswithin the Radiologic Technology program.
  • Teach 30 semester hours per academic year. Opportunities existto teach summer classes.
  • Participate in accreditation activities and abide byaccreditation guidelines and standards.
  • Participate in discipline-related activities such as programevaluation, curriculum design, and outcomes assessment andevaluation.
  • Provide support to the program and clinical coordinator asneeded.
  • Travel within the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area to visitclinical sites affiliated with the program.
  • Faculty members are expected to serve on departmental, campus,and/or college committees, hold office hours, advise students,participate in course and program assessment, and maintain anactive personal program of professional development and continuouslearning.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)certification in good standing.
  • Current Maryland Radiographer State License, in goodstanding, or eligibility to obtain a Maryland RadiographerLicense.
  • Two (2) years ’ clinical experience in radiology.
  • Demonstrated excellence in classroom instruction using avariety of teaching methods.
  • Experience integrating technology into course deliveryincluding the use of a l earning m anagement s ystem (LMS) .
  • Experience utilizing high-impact teaching pedagogies to fosterstudent engagement and active-learning .
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and equitable teachingpractices and support of a diverse student population.
  • Demonstrated effective collaboration with colleagues.
  • Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in theUnited States and not require employer visa sponsorship .
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or Doctoral degree
  • Experience teaching at the post-secondary level in radiologictechnology in a JRCERT-certified program.
  • Additional certifications (i.e.: CT, MRI, Radiation Therapy,Nuclear Medicine, Mammography) or other current additional imagingcertifications.
  • Evidence of commitment to professional development andscholarly activities.
  • Experience supporting students to overcome barriers to academicsuccess.
Hiring Range: $64,510 - $98,220
