Job summary

Northampton Community College seeks an Instructional Designer to lead the application of instructional design theories across modalities. You will work with faculty to ensure courses meet best practices in design, accessibility, and copyright compliance.

Responsibilities include developing new courses, reviewing existing content, and offering professional development to help faculty be effective instructors. Hybrid work with campus presence required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred in instructional design or related discipline.
• Experience in higher education instructional design is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead in applying instructional design theories to faculty courses across modalities.
• Collaborate with faculty to align content with accessibility and copyright standards.
• Design and offer professional development for faculty on course design and evaluation.
• Research emerging technologies to support instruction.
• Support pilot studies and learning initiatives and provide feedback.
