Job summary

Greenfield Community College seeks an Instructional Designer & Educational Technology Specialist (Coordinator of Instructional Technology) to design and enhance high‑quality, accessible learning across face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities. You will collaborate with faculty and campus partners to implement evidence-based practices and emerging instructional technologies.

The role reports to the Director of Assessment and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning and requires 3–5

Qualifications

• Master's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, or a related field.
• 3–5 years designing and developing instructional materials, courses, or faculty development programs in higher education or equivalent.
• Experience with Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with faculty to design, develop, redesign, and improve courses across modalities.
• Administer and support Moodle LMS, including course creation and archiving, upgrades, and maintenance planning.
• Troubleshoot instructional technology issues with IT staff and vendors as needed.
• Analyze course analytics and feedback to improve course effectiveness and student success.
• Serve as a consultant throughout course planning, development, and revision.
• Coach faculty in evidence-based instructional strategies and accessibility considerations.
