Job summary

Robbins Gioia is seeking an Instructional Designer to identify performance gaps and craft learning experiences for a targeted audience. You will design knowledge transfer initiatives for the US Navy, create and maintain SOPs, and develop online course content to meet organizational goals and learner needs.

The role involves producing engaging materials—presentations, videos, and interactive exercises—while collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or closely related field.
• 4+ years of teaching, training, or web designing experience.
• Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation.
• Familiarity with design and learning programs (Adobe, Photoshop, Flash, etc.).
• Excellent communication and graphic design skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development.
• Ability to operate effectively in remote/hybrid team environments.
• NACI or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Designs and executes knowledge transfer initiatives for the US Navy (Office of Naval Research), including SOPs and comprehensive documentation.
• Designs and develops online course content tailored to organizational objectives and learner requirements, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
• Creates engaging learning materials such as presentations, instructional videos, and interactive exercises.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts, educators, and stakeholders to ensure learning resources are accurate and high-quality.
• Assesses effectiveness of learning materials by collecting feedback and analyzing data, and makes continuous improvements.
