Job summary

RFCUNY is seeking a creative Instructional Designer for the Learning and Development PMO at the ACS Workforce Institute in New York. The role designs and develops ILT and VILT programs for adult learners, translates SME content into actionable training, and collaborates across PMO teams to meet objectives.

You will craft course outlines, storyboards, facilitator guides, and learner materials, apply adult learning principles, and continuously improve learning experiences with accessibility in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, educational technology, learning and development, or a related field with at least three years of professional experience designing and developing adult learning programs, including ILT and VILT.
• Master's degree in a related discipline is preferred or more than three years of professional related experience.
• Experience translating complex information into engaging, accessible learning experiences and measurable objectives.
• Experience creating design documents, storyboards, facilitator guides, learner workbooks, and other assets.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive instructional design practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging ILT and VILT training programs grounded in adult learning principles.
• Translate SME content into clear, practical learning experiences and measurable objectives.
• Create design deliverables: outlines, storyboards, facilitator guides, handouts, decks, and job aids.
• Collaborate with PMO, product owners, SMEs, and team to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Review and update curricula; incorporate feedback and accessibility considerations.
