Senior Manager of Talent Solutions @ McKinley Marketing Partners, a 24 Seven Company | a senior creative and marketing recruiter

Our client in the DC area is looking for Instructional Designers to support developmental needs.

This is an ongoing freelance position, which may vary in hours each week. The position can be fully remote.

Responsibilities
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content to enhance retention and transfer.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs of the target audience.
  • Define instructional end goals and develop content aligned with them.
  • Visualize instructional graphics, user interfaces, and final products.
  • Conduct instructional research and analyze learners and contexts.
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods.
  • Provide exercises and activities that facilitate learning.
  • Develop assessment criteria and instruments to evaluate learner performance.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in instructional design and instructional technology.
  • Strong knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Skills in lesson and curriculum planning.
  • Basic HTML programming knowledge.
  • Proficiency with course development software and at least one Learning Management System.
  • Visual design skills using tools like Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, and ability to storyboard.
  • Ability to write effective instructional texts, audio scripts, and video scripts.
  • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field.
