Job summary

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Massachusetts Teaching License in appropriate content area.
• Experience and demonstrated expertise as a teacher of relevant content and/or subjects.
• Demonstrated success working with teachers and administrators as a professional development provider, team leader, and/or facilitator.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Set up effective classroom environments, assist in planning effective lessons, conduct and debrief demonstration classes, co-teach occasionally, provide in-class coaching, including videotaping and debriefing lessons, assist in planning school-based professional development.
• Assist in the proper implementation of assessments and analysis of results.
• Maintain an up-to-date log of all activities in and out of classrooms, including timelines and next steps.
• Monitor individual teacher progress and participation in professional development.
• Meet with principals and other supervisors to support curriculum and instructional strategies.
