Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana teaching credential is required.
• Five years of successful teaching experience in a role requiring a teaching certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of current research and curricula trends to provide job-embedded professional development on classroom instructional improvement strategies.
• Communicate with teachers about changes, new theories and practice for effective instruction; facilitate access to resources and literature.
• Assist schools in planning, implementing and monitoring curriculum and instruction in assigned campuses.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff through planning, modeling instruction, co-teaching, debriefing, and reflection.
• Engage teachers in the coaching cycle with co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, debriefing, and reflection on instructional methods.
• Provide individualized follow-up to support implementation of research-based programs and strategies.
• Facilitate inquiry groups to discuss best practices and current research in effective teaching.
