Job summary

The NC New Teacher Support Program (NC NTSP) Instructional Coach at the University of North Carolina Wilmington will manage a cohort of teachers in one or more schools in the southeast region and provide three core services: professional learning, individualized coaching, and aligned professional development.

The position requires a current NC teaching license, a master's degree in education, and 5+ years of teaching experience with strong adult learning leadership.

Qualifications

• Current NC teaching license
• Master's degree in education or a related field
• 5+ years teaching experience with measurable student outcomes
• Experience leading adult professional learning
• Knowledge of NCSCOS, NC Professional Teaching Standards, NC DPI Induction Program, Mentor Standards and teacher leadership standards

Responsibilities

• Support beginning teachers through delivery of the program's three core services: professional learning institute, individualized instructional coaching, and aligned professional development.
• Collaborate with NC NTSP staff, school and district leadership, UNC system Schools of Education, and others to ensure an effective support network for new teachers.
