Job summary

New London Public Schools is seeking a dedicated education professional to strengthen instructional practices district‑wide. You will coach teachers, model effective methods, and support literacy, writing and mathematics across the curriculum.

The role requires a valid CSDE educator certificate, at least five years of classroom experience, and strong leadership and collaboration skills. Bilingual ability in Spanish or Haitian Creole is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) educator certificate.
• Minimum of five years successful teaching experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of effective instructional practices.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen and align instruction to CT State Frameworks and district standards.
• Provide coaching, modeling, and professional development to teachers.
• Assist in planning for standards-based curriculum and instructional methods.
• Support reading, writing, and math proficiency across the curriculum.
• Attend PD and training to enhance skills.
• Collaborate with principal and school improvement team on school goals.
