Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES seeks an Instructional Coach, NYS Certified Teacher, for a 10-month position with up to 30 additional summer days. You will plan and deliver professional development, coach teachers onsite, and support NYSED initiatives.

The role emphasizes data-driven improvement and collaboration with district leaders. The incumbent will design, implement, and evaluate professional learning, provide demonstrations and mentoring, and lead regional workshops to meet district goals.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Teacher Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Consult and collaborate with district leaders to plan goal-oriented and data-driven professional development.
• Research and disseminate information relative to the improvement of teaching and learning.
• Support the work of NYSED initiatives and NYS Standards implementation.
• Assess the skill level of teachers to aid in the continual development of programs.
• Model strategies and provide ongoing support, mentoring and coaching through individual meetings as well as in workshop settings.
• Develop methods and strategies for designing, implementing, and evaluating professional learning programs.
• Provide continuing support for instruction by conducting classroom demonstrations, diagnostic observation with feedback, lesson planning and problem solving.
• Design and deliver a variety of single day, multi-day and afterschool workshops.
