Job summary

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of NYS Learning Standards and state assessments.
• Experience working as an instructional coach or teacher leader (required).
• Experience with implementing effective instructional coaching cycles.
• Strong depth of understanding of the Science of Reading, Science of Mathematics, Explicit Instruction, and Visible Learning.
• Possesses a demonstrated vision for improving high-quality instruction and teaching.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Trained in Kagan engagement structures.
• Strong knowledge of high impact instructional practices.
• Empathetic listener, communicative, approachable.
• Strong lesson planning, instructional execution and demonstrated evidence of high student achievement.
• Self-starter, motivated to support teachers in their classrooms.
• Strong desire to help teachers build capacity and independence.
• Commitment to equity and inclusion of all members of the school community.
• Commitment to implementing the district's Instructional Priorities and the Instructional Focus Plan.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in aligning instruction to NYS standards.
• Lead instructional coaching cycles and model high-impact practices.
• Collaborate with staff to improve student achievement.
• Provide planning and instructional support to teachers district-wide.
• Contribute to equity and inclusive practices across classrooms.
