Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ESSA Title I requirements apply for schools receiving Title I funds: six hours of coursework in childhood education or two years of work in a childhood setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional support to teachers and students, reinforces skills, and helps plan lessons.
• Aids in organizing materials and preparing classroom activities and assessments.
• Maintains a safe, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Works with individual students or groups as directed by teachers or administrators.
• Participates in district staff development and ongoing professional growth.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information per FERPA and relevant laws.
• Assists with screenings or assessments as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
