Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking an Instruction Coordinator within the Libraries, Teaching & Learning Programs. The role leads coordination of undergrad Communication-A instructional services and collaborates with science/engineering libraries to develop engaging, research-focused instruction.

The position oversees Student Library Instructors, mentors iSchool students, and contributes to LIS practicums while advancing library services through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing information literacy instruction or post-secondary instruction.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating instructional programs or initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with faculty, instructors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Chairs the Communication-A Coordination Committee and coordinates library instruction for the undergraduate requirement.
• Designs, develops, delivers, and assesses instruction in various formats for faculty, staff and students.
• Leads the Student Library Instructor Program, including hiring, training and supervising students.
• Collaborates with Teaching & Learning Programs staff to support professional development.
• Stays current with pedagogy and librarianship through professional organizations.
