Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking a Mail Operations Coordinator to oversee all mail-related activities within a correctional facility. You will coordinate mail delivery between USPS/UPS, supervise mail screening for contraband, and ensure proper handling of money instruments and records.

This role requires a high school diploma with several years in postal or delivery operations and supervisory experience; an associates degree can substitute for some experience.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and work experience in postal, courier or delivery operations.
• Three (3) years of experience in postal, courier, or delivery operations with one (1) year of supervisory experience.
• An Associate degree or higher with one (1) year of supervisory experience may be substituted for the required work experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all mail activities between USPS and the Institution.
• Deliver and pick up all mail.
• Receive USPS and UPS packages and coordinate delivery to the institutional property officer.
• Supervise inspection of all mail for contraband.
• Maintain records of money instruments received and/or returned.
