Job summary

Hamilton County correctional center is seeking a Food Service Worker to maintain the kitchen, prepare meals and supervise residents in food service tasks. You will follow menus, handle large quantities and ensure safety and sanitation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in food service, and a valid driver’s license; ServSafe certification preferred. Hours are 80 bi-weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year in a food service setting.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance at hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains kitchen area and equipment.
• Assures orderliness and cleanliness of kitchen.
• Orders food and supplies per program budget.
• Prepares food for facility.
• Supervises and educates residents in food service tasks.
• Operates kitchen equipment and dishwasher.
• Maintains inventory and documents receipts.
• Maintains safety and sanitary standards.
• Adheres to confidentiality requirements.
