GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking an experienced Food Service Manager to oversee daily operations in a correctional facility. You will supervise both staff and detainee food service personnel, ensure safety, sanitation, and compliance with standards, and manage budgets and menus.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least five years of management experience in institutional food service. Strong leadership and computer skills are essential, with opportunities for growth within GEO

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of management experience in a food service environment.
• Experience in institutional cooking in a correctional setting is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of food service procedures and administrative techniques.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with computers and the required software.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the food service in a creative manner.
• Review menus, supervise food prep and storage, and maintain equipment, records, and sanitation.
• Develop and implement food services policies and procedures following professional standards and facility guidelines.
• Supervise and inspect the work of other employees.
• Supervise and inspect detainee food service staff.
• Supervise, train, and inspect detainee food service staff.
• Supervise, provide training, and inspect work performed by detainee food service staff.
• Monitor and maintain company quality assurance and control in the food production areas.
• Manage food service budget (food and equipment inventory) and produce reports.
