Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Food Services supervisor to manage detainee meal preparation and sanitation in a correctional setting. You will monitor movements, respond to emergencies, and maintain detailed logs to ensure safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, ACA training, and experience in institutional food service. Flexibility for long shifts and readiness to work in a secure, controlled environment are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• ACA required training completed or able to obtain.
• Experience in food service activities, preferably commercial or institutional.
• Training in cultural diversity or sensitivity preferred.
• Must possess applicable state requisites for employment.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and monitor detainees assigned to Food Services in terms of food preparation, cleanup, and sanitation.
• Monitor inmate or detainee movements, conduct counts, and respond to emergencies.
• Perform shakedowns for contraband materials and confiscate prohibited items as per policies and procedures.
• Keep daily logs on inmates (including disciplinary reports).
• Provide prompt and appropriate assistance to those who have been injured, ill, or have suffered trauma.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to keep your facility clean.
