Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking an Institutional Account Manager to grow hospital accounts across designated territory. You will identify opportunities, develop plans, and deliver compelling presentations to key decision makers in large hospitals and systems.

You will work with National Accounts to execute strategies, manage a large territory, and leverage data to target high-prescribing HCPs while meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years Hospital or specialty pharmaceutical experience (highly preferred).
  • Resides in or within close proximity to assigned geography (required).
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving history; ability to drive a company vehicle.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Strong business acumen, teamwork, collaboration, accountability, tenacity, and communication skills.
  • Ability to drive in a geographically large territory for long periods daily.
  • Ability to lift sample boxes up to 25 pounds (reasonable accommodations may be provided).

Responsibilities

  • Understand patient admitting flow within large hospitals/systems.
  • Work with National Account Managers to execute strategies with specific hospitals and hospital systems.
  • Sell to Director and Chief Level contacts within large hospitals/systems.
  • Develop and deliver effective sales presentations to target HCPs.
  • Execute pull-thru results by strategically allocating resources.
  • Develop effective customer relationships and leverage them to drive results.
  • Use business analytics knowledge (customer data, resources, tools).
  • Build account and territory plans.
  • Use available data to target and access the most valuable accounts.
  • Demonstrate expertise across the product portfolio, therapeutic areas, and managed care.
  • Manage territory by analyzing data to target high prescribing HCPs.
  • Meet or exceed call average and sales performance expectations.
  • Demonstrate market/industry knowledge vs. competitors.
  • Apply clinical and disease state knowledge to impact patients and providers.
  • Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Attend sales training, meetings, and national/regional conferences.

Compensation (as stated):

Starting base pay range $130k–$160k; eligible for annual bonus or sales incentive plan.
