Job summary

Acorn Stairlifts is seeking an Installer in Orlando to safely install and test stairlift systems in customers’ homes, ensuring full operation before completion.

You’ll communicate site conditions, demonstrate operation, and uphold high standards of workmanship and customer service while working with the operations team. A valid driver’s license and hands-on skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble and install equipment.
• Experience in construction, carpentry, remodeling, automotive, HVAC, appliance installation, maintenance, or related trades preferred.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools and adhering to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently install, assemble, adjust, and test Acorn stairlift systems in customers’ homes per standards.
• Identify site conditions or installation challenges and communicate with the Operations Team.
• Demonstrate stairlift operation and provide a professional customer experience while representing Acorn with integrity.

What You’ll Do

• Safely and efficiently install, assemble, adjust, and test Acorn stairlift systems in customers’ homes according to company standards.
• Identify and communicate site conditions or installation challenges to the Operations Team and ensure systems are fully operational before leaving.

Customer Service & Documentation

• Demonstrate stairlift operation to customers, answer questions, and provide a professional experience while representing Acorn Stairlifts with integrity and respect.

Safety & Organization

• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Maintain an organized company vehicle and properly manage inventory, tools, and installation materials.

What We're Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble and install equipment.
• Experience in construction, carpentry, remodeling, automotive, HVAC, appliance installation, maintenance, or related trades preferred.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools with a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and mobile applications for scheduling and documentation.
• Self-motivated and able to manage a daily schedule independently; valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.
