Job summary

OPC Pest Services is seeking an Installation Technician in Lexington, KY. You will install attic remediation, crawl space encapsulation, and other home improvement pest management solutions to protect homes. A strong team environment and hands-on work with room for growth are emphasized.

Starting pay is $19 per hour with yearly earnings potential from $52,000 to $65,000 plus uncapped sales commissions. Company vehicle provided; full-time, year-round employment with benefits and training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have at least 1 year general carpentry experience.
• Valid driver's license must be maintained through life of employment.
• Must pass criminal history background check, physical exam and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Install attic remediation systems, crawl space encapsulations, gutter protection systems, and other home service products.
• Help restore and protect homes from pest damage and head off future issues.
• Complete service-related documentation accurately.
• Work in a variety of environments, including attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and exterior spaces.
• Safely operate company vehicles, including larger-capacity box trucks.
• Deliver quality workmanship that homeowners can trust.
• Play an important role in helping your team exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications

Must maintain a good driving record and be able to pass criminal history background check, physical exam and drug screen.

Physical Demands / Working Environment:

Candidates must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
• Constant walking, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, climbing on ladders and roofs, reaching overhead, and squeezing with both hands
• Install encapsulation in low light conditions
• Lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc.
• Able to work in all types of weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, sleet, hail, snow and ice
• Noise level in work environment is generally loud depending on worksite where assigned, such as in new construction, while vacuuming insulation, etc.
