Our technicians are the face of CUI Cable Services. We seek individuals who take ownership of assigned work, communicate clearly, complete accurate documentation, work safely, and provide a positive customer experience.

Weekend availability is a regular expectation of this position. We are currently prioritizing a dependable technician who can consistently work Sundays. A five-day schedule including Sunday may be available, with two other days off coordinated around operational coverage needs.

  • Bury underground fiber drops using approved tools and methods; protect existing utilities and restore disturbed areas.
  • Complete same‑day drop‑and‑install assignments, from drop placement through in‑home equipment activation and service verification.
  • Route, secure, prepare, terminate, and test fiber‑optic cabling and related connections as trained and authorized.
  • Install and configure customer equipment, including ONTs, routers, and supported Wi‑Fi devices.
  • Diagnose and repair service interruptions, damaged drops, poor connectivity, and equipment issues using approved testing tools.
  • Perform approved exterior and interior work, including ladder access, attics, crawl spaces, and underground drop routes.
  • Communicate with customers about arrival times, installation details, equipment operation, and completed work.
  • Verify successful service activation, connectivity, workmanship, and customer satisfaction before closing each job.
  • Submit accurate same‑day job notes, photographs, test results, and material usage; manage assigned tools and inventory.
  • Safely operate company vehicles, drop‑bury tools, and installation equipment in compliance with worksite and utility‑locate requirements.
  • Remain responsive to dispatch, supervisors, customers, and team members regarding assignments, delays, and completion status.
