Real Floors, a leading wholesale flooring company in North America, is seeking an Installation Manager to oversee subcontractor work orders, QA, and project coordination on site. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential for effective communication with the field team.

You will recruit subcontractors, assign work orders, review payroll documents, ensure warranty compliance, and collaborate with HR and other departments to optimize operations and costs.

Qualifications

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required for effective communication in this role.
• Recruiting subcontractors and efficiently assigning work is preferred.
• Experience or knowledge in flooring products or installation is valued but not required.
• Proficiency with computer-based tools including Google Drive, Gmail, and Microsoft Office is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess flooring issues and determine labor charges while ensuring quality standards.
• Create and implement a recruitment strategy to expand pool of skilled local subcontracted installers.
• Assign work orders to subcontracted installers for seamless coordination and timely completion.
• Maintain documentation with daily subcontractor paperwork and payroll review.
• Uphold warranty compliance and resolve on-site customer issues with subcontractors.
• Collaborate with internal departments to streamline operations.
• Provide hands-on supervision to the installation department.
• Resolve issues from previous day's work orders through discussions with subcontractors and teams.
• Negotiate subcontractor labor rates to maintain cost-effectiveness.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Installation Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the assignment process for subcontractor work orders, ensuring quality assurance, and managing project coordination. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential for effective communication. This role requires on-site presence, as directed by the General Manager, to oversee the flooring inspection (QA) process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess flooring issues and determine appropriate labor charges while ensuring quality standards.
• Create and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to expand the pool of skilled local, subcontracted flooring installers.
• Effectively assign work orders to subcontracted flooring installers, ensuring seamless project coordination and timely completion.
• Maintain organized documentation by ensuring daily submission of required paperwork by subcontractors and reviewing payroll sheets for accuracy, performing corresponding data entry.
• Uphold warranty compliance by completing daily warranties and facilitating open communication with subcontractors to resolve work order and on-site customer issues.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and streamline processes.
• Provide hands-on supervision to the installation department employees, guiding and supporting their performance and development.
• Resolve any issues arising from the previous day's work orders through proactive discussions with subcontractors, operations, and sales staff.
• Skillfully negotiate subcontractor labor rates as needed, maintaining cost-effectiveness for the company.
• In partnership with HR, take timely and appropriate steps to address performance reviews, disciplinary issues, onboarding, and other HR-related matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required for effective communication in this role.
• Demonstrated expertise in recruiting subcontractors and efficiently assigning work is preferred.
• Prior experience or knowledge in flooring products or flooring installation is highly valued, butnot a strict requirement.
• Proficiency in using computer-based business tools, including Google Drive, Gmail, Microsoft Office Word and Excel, is essential.
