Sciens Building Solutions in Pleasanton, CA seeks an Installation Manager to lead field teams, ensure safe, on-time project delivery, and resolve complex installation challenges in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, drive change orders, manage costs, and build durable contractor relationships while upholding high ethical standards and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years project or operations leadership experience in the Fire and Life Safety or construction business.
• Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of individuals, including company leadership, field techs, customers, and vendors.
• Strong, positive team builder with leadership ability.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.
• Customer-focused; skilled in project and people management.
• Meet guidelines for background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all associates embrace safety culture and comply with safety initiatives.
• Supervise, train, and develop technicians or other associates within leadership span of control.
• Coordinate scheduling, execution, billing and completion of install, service, warranty, and emergency jobs.
• Ensure estimating and engineering standards are utilized and installed accordingly.
• Confirm all projects are completed on time and on budget.
• Provide technical support related to installation methods for field employees.
• Develop and drive recovery plans for projects with cost overruns.
• Provide input for strategic solutions on obsolete equipment and complex system upgrades.
• Follow up on customer satisfaction issues and drive resolutions.
• Assist Operations Manager in driving utilization and field productivity.
• Build a high-performance culture with engagement reviews and development initiatives.
• Support Project Managers on project risks and recovery plans.
• Develop relationships with contractors, customers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Promote change orders by identifying work outside scope.

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an Installation Manager to support Division solutions teams in executing projects and resolving complex issues. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has experience leading a team in the construction industry and is ready to support as a resource for ensuring accurate engineering and project completion while being part of a vibrant national organization.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

• Ensure all associates embrace the safety culture and comply with all safety initiatives.

• Ensure the scheduling, execution, billing and completion of install, service, warranty, and emergency jobs.

• Develop and drive recovery plans for projects with existing or future cost overruns.
• Provide input for strategic solutions surrounding obsolete equipment, antiquated systems, and complex system upgrades.
• Follow up on customer satisfaction issues and drive resolution.
• Assist the Operations Manager in driving utilization and field productivity amongst all field employees
• Build a high-performance culture to include engagement reviews, development initiatives, and other performance management.
• Support Project Managers related to project risks, conflict resolution and establishment of project recovery plans.
• Develop and build contractor, customer, consultant, and subcontractor relationships.
• Promote the securing of change orders by ensuring work outside scope is identified and captured.
• Ensure compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements and ensure that installation business is conducted with the highest ethical standards.
