Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an Installation Manager to lead the field team in installing and supporting diverse life safety and electrical systems. You will drive project execution, safety, and customer satisfaction while coordinating with project managers and leadership across a national organization.

The role requires a minimum of two years in project or operations leadership within fire and life safety or construction, with strong communication and team-building skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project or operations leadership in Fire and Life Safety or construction.
• Strong communication with diverse groups including leadership, field staff, customers and vendors.
• Proven ability to build teams and lead them to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with a sense of urgency.
• Customer-focused with strong project and people management skills.
• Willingness to undergo background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety culture and compliance across all associates.
• Supervise, train, and develop technicians within leadership span of control.
• Oversee scheduling, execution, billing and completion of install, service, warranty, and emergency jobs.
• Ensure estimating and engineering standards are followed and applied.
• Deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Provide technical support on installation methods for field employees.
• Develop recovery plans for projects with cost overruns.
• Suggest strategic upgrades for obsolete equipment and complex systems.
• Address customer satisfaction issues and drive resolutions.
• Assist Operations Manager to improve field productivity and utilization.
• Foster high-performance culture including engagement reviews and development initiatives.
• Support Project Managers with risk management and recovery planning.
• Build relationships with contractors, customers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Identify and capture out-of-scope work via change orders.

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an Installation Manager to support Division solutions teams in executing projects and resolving complex issues. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has experience leading a team in the construction industry and is ready to support as a resource for ensuring accurate engineering and project completion while being part of a vibrant national organization.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

• Ensure all associates embrace the safety culture and comply with all safety initiatives.
• Supervise, train, and develop all technicians or other associates within leadership span of control.
• Ensure the scheduling, execution, billing and completion of install, service, warranty, and emergency jobs.
• Ensure estimating and engineering standards are utilized and installed accordingly.
• Ensure all projects are completed on time and on budget.
• Provide technical support related to installation methods for all field employees.
• Develop and drive recovery plans for projects with existing or future cost overruns.
• Provide input for strategic solutions surrounding obsolete equipment, antiquated systems, and complex system upgrades.
• Follow up on customer satisfaction issues and drive resolution.
• Assist the Operations Manager in driving utilization and field productivity amongst all field employees
• Build a high-performance culture to include engagement reviews, development initiatives, and other performance management.
• Support Project Managers related to project risks, conflict resolution and establishment of project recovery plans.
• Develop and build contractor, customer, consultant, and subcontractor relationships.
• Promote the securing of change orders by ensuring work outside scope is identified and captured.
• Ensure compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements and ensure that installation business is conducted with the highest ethical standards.
