Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Installer to join our growing team. You will perform routine installation and checkout on a variety of systems, using codes, procedures, drawings, and your expertise.

You will develop strong interfaces with customers to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the installation. The role emphasizes ownership of onsite projects, mentoring team members, and delivering safe, high-quality results on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in fire alarm, voice/data, and security installation.
• Solid knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
• Advanced ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Readiness to use standard trade tools and safety gear.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of onsite projects focusing on safety, quality and performance.
• Train, mentor, and lead team members on jobs.
• Install commercial & industrial 3-phase power systems.
• Install electrical conduit and associated devices.
• Complete onsite paperwork and maintain as-built drawings.
• Ensure safety culture and policy compliance across the team.
• Coordinate with other departments and general contractors with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to industry standards and Sciens safety programs.

The installer will perform routine installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings, and personnel analysis. Develops a positive interface with the customer to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the system installation.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

• Take ownership of onsite projects including safety, quality, and performance.
• Train, mentor, and lead team members and jobs.
• Install commercial & industrial 3-phase electrical power systems.
• Install all types of electrical conduit.
• Complete paperwork, including but not limited to onsite documentation and maintenance of as built drawings.
• Responsible for ensuring all employees embrace our safety culture and comply with all safety initiatives.
• Demonstrate a high level of oral and written communication, coordinates with other departments, and general contractors with little supervision.
• Comply with standards and procedures of industry and Sciens safety programs/policies.
  
  

What We Like About You.

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in fire alarm, voice/data, and security installation
• Solid working knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
• Advanced ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, diagrams, and make recommendations based on field conditions.
• Advanced installation knowledge run wire, wire devices, fish walls and doors.
• Advanced knowledge of NFPA 70 & NFPA 72 installation requirements.
• You demonstrate a high level of oral and written communication; coordinates with other departments, and GCs with little supervision.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 certification.
• Ability to learn and safely use standard trade tools.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work independently with some supervision.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 certification.
• Customer-focused; skilled in project and people management.
• Proficient in issue resolution.
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, maximum occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; able to work from heights and climb ladders; standing and walking for most of the workday.
• Ability to travel occasionally overnight, as needed.
