Job summary

EXP is seeking a Commissioning Specialist to join our Sustainability Sector, serving clients across North America from San Diego, CA, or Denver, CO. You will contribute to commissioning projects for healthy, efficient buildings and work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and designers.

This role requires 2–5 years in commissioning or related engineering, a commissioning certification or BAS experience, travel to client sites, and a preference for an EIT certification.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of commissioning, mechanical and/or electrical engineering design, test and balance, or building automation system check-out.
• Commissioning certification, or extensive installation and BAS programming experience.
• EIT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Local and Out-of-State Travel to Client sites
• Reviewing owner project requirements
• Performing design reviews
• Developing commissioning specifications
• Creating commissioning plans, checklists and tests
• Performing field visits and observing commissioning tests
• Working with contractors, in the field, to resolve commissioning issues observed during testing
• Writing field reports and final reports
• Creating Systems Manuals

In this role, you will be a part of the Sustainability Sector, providing commissioning services to clients across North America. Our sector supports both public and private sector clients as they work towards their goals for efficient, healthy buildings.

What your experience looks like

The pay range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
