Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Commissioning Specialist/Engineer in San Diego, CA or Denver, CO to lead commissioning efforts across North America. You’ll manage client relationships, develop plans, review requirements, and collaborate with contractors to ensure successful project delivery.

You bring 5+ years in commissioning or building automation, a commissioning certification or BAS programming experience, and ideally a PE license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in commissioning, mechanical and/or electrical engineering design, test and balance or building automation system check-out.

Responsibilities

• Manage existing client relationships and support development of new clients.
• Work with Marketing on project pursuits and client presentations.
• Reviewing owner project requirements.
• Performing design reviews.
• Developing commissioning specifications.
• Creating commissioning plans, checklists and tests.
• Performing field visits and observing commissioning tests.
• Working with contractors to resolve commissioning issues observed during testing.
• Writing field reports and final reports.
• Creating Systems Manuals.

What Your Experience Looks Like

• 5+ years previous experience in commissioning, mechanical and/or electrical engineering design, test and balance and / or building automation system check-out
• commissioning certification, or extensive installation and BAS programming experience
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License preferred

The pay range for this role is $150,000 to $170,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
