Job summary

EXP is seeking a Commissioning Specialist to join our Sustainability Sector in North America. You will support commissioning services for building systems across North America, collaborating with engineers, contractors and clients to ensure performance, energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

The role requires 2-5 years of commissioning experience, a commissioning certification or BAS programming background, and an EIT is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience in commissioning, mechanical and/or electrical engineering design and test.
• Commissioning certification or extensive BAS programming experience.
• EIT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites locally and out-of-state.
• Review owner project requirements.
• Perform design reviews.
• Develop commissioning specifications.
• Create commissioning plans, checklists and tests.
• Perform field visits and observe commissioning tests.
• Work with contractors to resolve issues observed during testing.
• Write field reports and final reports.
• Create Systems Manuals.

Be our next Commissioning Specialist

Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Sustainability Sector, providing commissioning services to clients across North America. Our sector supports both public and private sector clients as they work towards their goals for efficient, healthy buildings.

• Local and Out-of- State Travel to Client sites
• Reviewing owner project requirements
• Performing design reviews
• Developing commissioning specifications
• Creating commissioning plans, checklists and tests
• Performing field visits and observing commissioning tests
• Working with contractors, in the field, to resolve commissioning issues observed during testing
• Writing field reports and final reports
• Creating Systems Manuals

What Your Experience Looks Like

• 2-5 years previous experience in commissioning, mechanical and/or electrical engineering design, test and balance and / or building automation system check-out
• Commissioning certification, or extensive installation and BAS programming experience
• EIT Certification preferred

The pay range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
