Job summary

EXP is seeking a Commissioning Specialist in San Diego, CA or Denver, CO to join our Sustainability Sector. You will provide commissioning services to clients across North America, reviewing owner requirements, developing plans, tests and reports, and collaborating with field teams to resolve issues.

The role requires 2-5 years in commissioning or related engineering, a commissioning certification or BAS experience, and preferably an EIT.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years previous experience in commissioning, mechanical and/or electrical engineering design, test and balance and / or building automation system check-out.
• Commissioning certification, or extensive installation and BAS programming experience.
• EIT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Local and Out-of-State Travel to Client sites.
• Reviewing owner project requirements.
• Performing design reviews.
• Developing commissioning specifications.
• Creating commissioning plans, checklists and tests.
• Performing field visits and observing commissioning tests.
• Working with contractors, in the field, to resolve commissioning issues observed during testing.
• Writing field reports and final reports.
• Creating Systems Manuals.

In this role, you will be a part of the Sustainability Sector, providing commissioning services to clients across North America. Our sector supports both public and private sector clients as they work towards their goals for efficient, healthy buildings.

The pay range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
