Job summary

Bay View Shade & Blind in Waukesha is seeking an Installation Experience Expert to lead complex window treatment installations, installing hard, soft, motorized and specialty products with precision and care.

You'll troubleshoot field issues, mentor teammates, and coordinate with Design and Operations to keep projects moving forward, delivering exceptional craftsmanship and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in skilled trades, installation, finish work, remodeling, cabinetry, or related field.
• Ability to handle complex or technical installations and troubleshoot field issues.
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and craftsmanship.
• Confident independence and sound field decisions; strong communication with customers.
• Ability to coach less-experienced teammates; strong time management.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable record; able to lift up to 80 lbs.

You're experienced with installation, comfortable solving problems in the field, and take pride in leaving a job better than you found it.

As an Installation Experience Expert, you'll handle some of our most complex custom installations while serving as a technical resource and mentor for the Installation Team. You'll work directly with customers, solve challenges others may not have encountered before, and help set the standard for what great craftsmanship and customer service look like at BVSB.

This is an upper-level role on our Installation Team for someone who wants to continue developing their expertise and make an impact.

What You'll Do

• Lead and complete complex custom window treatment installations
• Install hard, soft, motorized, and specialty products with a high level of precision
• Take accurate measurements and ensure exceptional fit, finish, and functionality
• Troubleshoot challenging installation, product, and technical issues
• Work confidently with ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and other equipment when required
• Program and troubleshoot motorized products and automation
• Communicate professionally with customers and help resolve concerns in the field
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor for Installation Experience Specialists and Ambassadors
• Work closely with Production, Design, and Operations to solve problems and keep projects moving
• Help identify opportunities to improve installation processes, quality, and the customer experience

• Strong experience in skilled trades, installation, construction, finish work, remodeling, cabinetry, or a related field
• Proven ability to handle complex or technical installations
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
• Confident working independently and making sound decisions in the field
• Professional, polished communication and strong customer service skills
• Ability to coach and support less‑experienced team members
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and work safely on ladders and at heights

Window treatment experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right experienced tradesperson on our products and processes.
