Job summary

Insight Global is hiring six Field Service Engineers to support a leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer on-site in Phoenix, Arizona. The role focuses on assembling and installing new equipment at customer locations, following standard operating procedures, and performing system hook-ups to ensure full functionality.

The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance or repair experience with mechanical and electrical systems, comfort with PPE in a cleanroom, and willingness to travel 90–100%

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance or repair experience with equipment.
• Experience using mechanical hand tools like torque wrenches and sockets.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with PPE and cleanroom attire.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel 90-100% during training.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Experience troubleshooting robotic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install new equipment at customer sites.
• Follow SOPs to complete system hook-ups and setup.
• Ensure equipment functions properly after installation.
• Travel to customer sites 10–20% initially, then more as needed.
• Work in cleanroom environments with PPE.

We are hiring a team of 6 Field Service Engineers to support a leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer on-site in Phoenix, Arizona. This role will focus on assembling and installing new equipment at customer locations, using standard operating procedures along with strong mechanical and electrical skills to complete system hook-ups and ensure functionality. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining or repairing equipment, be comfortable using common hand tools, and have a solid understanding of electro-mechanical systems. This position requires working in a cleanroom environment (including wearing PPE and a bunny suit), occasional travel (10–20%), and the ability to support equipment as needed throughout the installation process

Skills and Requirements

• 2 years of experience with hands on maintenance or repairing equipment or machinery

• Experience working with various mechanical hand tools (torque wrenches, socket sets, pliers, screwdrivers, measuring and inspection tools, etc)

• Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems

• Prior experience utilizing some PPE (masks, gloves, safety glasses, etc) and openness to wearing a fab bunny suit daily

• High School Diploma

• Flexible to 90-100% travel for the first year for training - (Home every 4th week) and will then remain in PHX after the training

• Ability to pass background check and drug test, and to be badged at TSMC

• Valid Driver's License - Military experience - focused on heavy machinery or technician work

• Semiconductor industry experience

• Experience working with / troubleshooting robotic equipment
