The Green Recruitment Company is partnered with a global battery technology leader expanding its US energy storage manufacturing and project capabilities. We are seeking an Installation & Commissioning Engineer to lead installation, commissioning, and field execution for large-scale BESS projects across the Americas.

Ideal candidates have 7-10+ years in engineering, hands-on BESS experience, and a track record of leading field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 7–10+ years of engineering experience in power generation, renewable energy, or energy storage.
• Proven experience leading installation and commissioning for complex projects.
• Experience managing technical field teams.
• Hands-on experience with BESS, electrical controls, or power conversion systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate installation and commissioning activities for Field Service Engineers, Technicians, and subcontractors across utility-scale energy projects.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans for new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects throughout the Americas region.
• Create and maintain installation & commissioning standards, procedures, quality requirements, safety protocols, training materials, and work instructions.
• Select, train, and qualify subcontractors in collaboration with sourcing and project teams.
• Support RFQ development, contractor evaluation, and commissioning contract execution.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to field teams during project execution.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to analyze field performance, identify trends, and drive continuous product improvements.
• Promote a strong "Safety First" culture by supporting root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

We're seeking an experienced Installation & Commissioning Engineer to support the deployment of large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and power infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a technical leader with a strong background in commissioning, field execution, and energy systems who is passionate about advancing the clean energy transition.

• Demonstrated experience managing and leading technical field teams.

• Hands-on experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), electrical controls, power conversion systems, or related energy technologies.
