Job summary

TGRC, a partner with a global battery technology leader, seeks an Installation & Commissioning Engineer to drive field execution of large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the Americas. You will lead field teams, design commissioning plans, and ensure safety standards on utility-scale energy projects.

The role requires 7–10+ years in engineering within power, renewables, or energy storage, plus hands-on BESS experience and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
7-10+ years of engineering experience in power generation, renewable energy or energy storage.
Proven experience leading installation and commissioning for complex industrial projects.
Hands-on experience with BESS, electrical controls, power conversion systems or related energy tech.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate installation and commissioning activities for field teams across utility-scale projects.
Develop and execute commissioning plans for new BESS projects throughout the Americas.
Create and maintain installation, commissioning standards, safety protocols, and training materials.
Select, train, and qualify subcontractors in collaboration with sourcing and project teams.
Support RFQ development, contractor evaluation, and commissioning contract execution.
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to field teams during execution.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to analyze field performance and drive improvements.
Promote a strong Safety First culture by supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions.
