The part-time Installation and Repair Technician (IRT) reports directly to the Supervisor of Desktop Services. Performs on-site and in-shop inspection, installation, testing, and repair of telecommunications and microcomputer devices and peripheral equipment in support of a multi-vendor, multi-protocol, voice, video, and data network. IRT’s provide professional, courteous, and timely end user support to the college’s staff, faculty, and students.
This position has been designated an essential position. The employee filling this position may be required to report to work or otherwise fulfill the responsibilities of the position in the event of a college/campus closure due to weather or other emergent condition(s).
