Job summary

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling is seeking an Install Helper to support lead installers and learn on the job in Fort Wayne, IN. You will help ensure installations are completed safely and correctly while gaining hands-on trade skills.

Qualifications

• Must lift/move equipment up to 100 lbs.
• Must crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead.
• Must climb and work on ladders.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
• Must be able to braze and solder equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, office staff and coworkers.
• Participate in all required staff meetings and training sessions.
• Promote a professional, friendly work environment.
• Work hard, smart and efficiently.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Wear floor savers and drop cloths to protect client floors.
• Re-check each installation aspect and use the Installation Excellence Form.
• Explain the system to the client and ensure 100% satisfaction.
• Maintain safety on site and during driving, and supervise helpers.
• Meet production minimums as set by management and plan.
• Perform full system change-outs in a timely fashion as directed by the manager.
• Keep trucks neat and clean inside and out.
• Adhere to all company policies and codes.
• Other duties as assigned.
