Job summary

The Boys and Girls Club of the Northern Plains in Flandreau, SD is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support, lead, and encourage young people. You will build lasting relationships, promote positive behavior, and design activities to promote their welfare while expanding your knowledge in social work, behavioral studies, and management skills.

You will enforce rules, supervise recreation spaces, organize daily activities such as games, fitness events, arts and crafts, and daily music

Qualifications

Must be able to work four days a week.
Ability to implement behavior management principles and youth treatment modalities.
Commitment to the Club values of fun, supportive relationships, recognition, opportunities and safety.

Responsibilities

Enforce rules and model positive behavior.
Oversee daily operations of recreation areas and safety equipment.
Organize and facilitate recreational activities including games, fitness, arts and crafts, and music instruction.
Encourage member participation and assess group dynamics to foster positive relationships.
Complete required paperwork, incident reports, progress evaluations, and activity assessments.
Promote teamwork and leadership among participants and pursue responsibility.
