Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young children.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in developing and implementing lesson plans and daily classroom activities.
• Maintain a well-kept, healthy and safe classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
• Foster a positive, organized and healthy learning environment.
• Supervise children during play and learning activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Assist with daily classroom routines, including meal and nap times, and help maintain an organized classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding their child’s progress and development.
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher and other team members to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other training opportunities as required.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom.
• Attend continuing training/education classes designed to broaden professionalism, knowledge, and skills involving early childhood development as required by Federal and State regulations and the administration.
• Ensure that all children are treated with respect, dignity, and kindness.
