Job summary

Newaygo Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Middle School Special Education Teacher for Newaygo Middle School to support students with special needs and collaborate with teachers and staff. The role focuses on designing and implementing Tiered interventions, developing behavioral and academic plans, and ensuring IEPs are successfully applied through data-driven instruction and ongoing assessment.

Qualifications

• Valid Teaching Certification with Special Education Endorsement.
• Experience with Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
• Ability to develop and implement behavioral and/or academic plans.
• Ability to implement IEPs.
• Strong documentation and data analysis skills.
• Able to relate positively with students, parents and staff.
• Motivated, enthusiastic, positive attitude.
• Passion for kids and learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to middle school students in special education.
• Collaborate with staff to develop intervention and behavior plans.
• Assist in determining best teaching strategies to meet student needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and analyze student data.
