Job summary

Newaygo Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Middle School Special Education Teacher for Newaygo Middle School to support students with special needs and collaborate with teachers and staff. The role focuses on designing and implementing Tiered interventions, developing behavioral and academic plans, and ensuring IEPs are successfully applied through data-driven instruction and ongoing assessment.

Qualifications

• Valid Teaching Certification with Special Education Endorsement.
• Experience with Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
• Ability to develop and implement behavioral and/or academic plans.
• Ability to implement IEPs.
• Strong documentation and data analysis skills.
• Able to relate positively with students, parents and staff.
• Motivated, enthusiastic, positive attitude.

Middle School Special Education Teacher

Position Summary

As the Special Education Teacher at Newaygo Middle School, you will be working primarily with students in special education. In addition to serving the students, this position will assist teaching staff at the middle school with the development of intervention and behavior plans for special education students as well as assist with determining best teaching strategies in order to best meet the needs of these students.

Qualifications

• Valid Teaching Certification (Special Education Endorsement)
• Experience with Tier 2 and Tier 3 Interventions
• Ability/Knowledge to develop and implement behavioral and/or academic plans
• Ability/Knowledge to implement IEPs
• Ability to keep accurate documentation and to analyzestudent data
