The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree, NC teaching certification or eligibility, and a commitment to equity and student achievement within a 10-month teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Plan and implement a program of study in the assigned content area.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods.
• Prepare for classes assigned, and show written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Diagnose learning challenges and maintain records for IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress and needs.
• Attend PLCs and professional development focused on instruction.
• Maintain a safe and effective classroom environment.
