Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification in assigned area.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Instruct students using various teaching methods.
• Plan and implement a program of study in the assigned content area that meets student needs.
• Create a classroom environment that provides for student engagement and learning objectives.
• Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Diagnose learning challenges and maintain records for IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Provide instructional programs to meet needs of all students including those with disabilities and limited English proficiency.
• Attend PLCs and staff meetings for data analysis and instructional planning.
