Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to develop lesson plans and deliver instruction.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Plan and implement a program of study in the assigned content area.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods.
• Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Diagnose learning challenges and maintain records for IEPs and 504 plans.
• Meet with parents/guardians to discuss progress and priorities.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
• Observe and assess students' performance, behavior, and development.
• Attend PLCs and professional development focused on instruction.
• Perform safety functions/drills to maintain a safe classroom.
