Qualifications

• Successful completion of student teaching requirements and coursework to obtain the teaching certificate issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
• Valid teaching licenses: Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS).
• Knowledge and skills in subject matter, contemporary teaching methods, and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Plan instructional lessons and prepare plans in line with curriculum goals.
• Maintain attendance records, seating charts, and progress reports.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules consistent with the Uniform Discipline Code.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress and concerns.
• Coordinate field trips and participate in after-school activities as needed.
