The successful candidate will plan lessons, assess progress, and communicate with families regarding student achievement and conduct. Eligibility requires Illinois licensure and student teaching completion.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of student teaching and coursework for Illinois teaching certificate(s).
• Knowledge of state certification requirements and effective teaching strategies.
• Ability to modify instruction to meet diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan instructional activities and prepare written lesson plans.
• Maintain accurate attendance and pupil progress records.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about academic progress and behavior.
• Collaborate with staff to implement instructional program and discipline code.
• Participate in meetings and school activities; may assist with field trips and after-school programs.
