Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Florida seeks an enthusiastic teacher to deliver rigorous instruction and meet ambitious academic goals for each student. You will plan and implement state standards-aligned curricula, track progress, and communicate progress to families weekly in a collaborative school environment.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree, teaching certification, and K-12 classroom experience, with willingness to pursue Florida certification.

Qualifications

• High level content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification or work experience in a content area.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (preferred).
• Willingness to pursue Florida educator certification (required).

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Monitor and track student progress; adjust instruction and gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Engage in tutoring sessions after school or on Saturdays as needed.
