Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Florida seeks an IDEA Academy teacher who ensures students master academics and social skills, while upholding IDEA values daily. You will plan rigorous instruction, assess mastery, and track progress within a collaborative team environment.

A Bachelor’s degree and Florida educator certification (or commitment to obtain) are required; K-12 classroom experience is strongly preferred. Compensation includes stipends and performance-based rewards, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (required).
• Florida educator certification required or willing to pursue certification.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of core academic subject and ability to pass a content assessment.

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Assess and track student progress, update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate progress with students and families weekly.
• Use technology effectively for teaching and tasks.
• Establish a consistent behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
• Contribute to school culture and collaborate with families.
• Provide tutoring sessions as needed and participate in meetings.
