Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Florida seeks a dedicated teacher to empower students toward college readiness. You will deliver high-quality instruction aligned with IDEA curricula, track and respond to student data, and collaborate with families to support learning goals.

The role emphasizes rigorous daily lesson planning, feedback-driven practice, and opportunities for dual-enrollment, AP, or IB courses to enhance student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred)
• Holding or willing to pursue a Florida educator certification required

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade level curriculum, core content objectives, and texts
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback
• Implement formal and informal assessments to track each student’s progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families on a weekly basis
• Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all students’ needs
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, before/after-school duties, and school-wide events
• Spend 40+ hours per week at school and engage in ongoing learning and professional development
