Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a dedicated teacher in Florida to deliver high-quality instruction aligned with IDEA curricula. You will plan and deliver rigorous lessons, track student progress, and engage families weekly to support college readiness.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and Florida educator certification, with opportunities for certification if not currently held. Starting salary is competitive with stipends for certifications and leadership responsibilities, plus benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• K-12 teaching experience preferred.
• Florida educator certification required.
• IDEA offers certification for non-certified teachers.
• Strong content-area proficiency and instructional knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Deliver grade-level content and track student progress.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance.
• Monitor progress and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate student progress with families on a weekly basis.
• Utilize technology to enhance learning and manage tasks.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
• Contribute to a positive school culture and student community.
• Host tutoring sessions as needed to support scholars.
• Participate in weekly meetings and after-school duties.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and learning.
• Commit to 40+ hours per week on campus.
